I hope this happens, Bob. We haven't recorded the show yet and poor Chuck will have to spend all day tomorrow putting it all together!

Poor Chuck.

If not, I'm sure we'll hear a nice repeat, and we can juggle the dates so this thread can be reused next week, Nancy.

We'll get this done. It's not the first time we've been under the gun.

I know you and Chuck can get it done!

And from that description... I can't wait to hear the show.

Whew! We did it! Wouldn't you know we would have a technical glitch? We couldn't hook up for about a half hour and we couldn't figure out why. Finally Chuck and Daniel found the troubles. There was a power failure in New Jersey near Chuck that caused the trouble in the east and a Time Warner black out in California near me. My entire computer networking system went down for hours. Both happened last night. They may have been at about the same time. Spooky

Anyhow -- all's well and now the ball is in Chuck's court. It's a good show.

Or, more appropriately, in Chuck's ballpark.

Looks like a great show to usher in the Spring and baseball seasons! I hear that even Babe Ruth may be listening.

There is still a good deal of left-over snow here in Canada, and we are courting the record for the white stuff set in 1938. It will be refreshing to hear a show about spring and baseball, (remember the Blue Jays-the first team to take the world series out of the USA and defend it once.)

The album AMAHM, is a wonderful starting point for anyone new to FS- the narration is charming and the music can't be faulted. As a matter of fact, when I bought the LP package, I tried an experiment reminicent of the "other " radio show, ie; to use the narration as a lead-in to the original tracks. Essentially the tape had two flaws; not nearly enough Columbia material, and a rather jarring transition from the narration to the original tracks, many of which were recorded at different volumes, and with different sonic qualities.

I'll be listening at 5pm EST, and will log on to see if anybody else besides Allen is also out there.

Ahem. What am I, chopped liver?

(I think there may be close to eleven new SFF listeners online this week, Nick.)

Let's hope they follow through. Maybe I should only send the rest of the prize to those who do.

Eddie: During Nancy's show (coming up in 10 minutes), you won't see the artist names and song titles displayed as you do now. So what happens in this thread is that I serve as your "text scroll banner" by editing the song list in the top post in real time as it occurs. Enjoy!
