Sorry for the minor mishaps with the song lisitng, folks - I made a few adjustments when I was mixing the show, and I neglected to note all of them in the list I sent nancy earlier. I've made all the corrections, so the list I just tweaked on page one is accurate!
Glad you liked the "Come Fly with Me" segment Ace - a nod to our favorite fighter pilot!!!

A fabulous N4F 207! Anything "All-Frank" is as good as it can possibly get! So many goodies -- "Rain," "You, My Love," "Don't Worry 'Bout Me," "Violets For Your Furs," the glorious "All The Things You Are;" those magnificent Frank-Billy travel accomodations; and finishing up with some gorgeous "Nice 'N' Easy" tracks!
The Gershwins said it best, "Who could ask for anything more?" Kudos to Nancy, Chuck, Dan, & Co. ![]() ![]()

Couldn't agree more, Leigh Ann! "With Every Breath I Take" is a beautiful recording, as are all of the "Close To You" tracks. The album, itself, regularly flies "under the radar," because there are no rich and luscious Jenkins-Costa-Riddle strings. The HSQ requires deep concentration and intense listening. Frank and Nelson seem to be "weaving a spell" and bring you totally into each track. "P.S. I Love You," "End of a Love Affair," "Love Locked Out," et al, have wonderful stories, to which we all can relate, so that Frank's magnificent interpretations become superb "life lessons," and are truly foreground listening experiences!
The HSQ never intrudes -- they are there to carry us along very carefully, and Frank can thus bend notes, modulate his tone, and emphasize whatever part of the lyric he and Nelson deep appropriate! Just listen to the "vamping" on "End of a Love Affair." It's "muted," but it's incessant, and the message of love lost is very clear -- "But what else can you do at the end of a love affair?" We're overpowered by the SINGING, not the ORCHESTRATION, yet the orchestration complements Frank to the point where we can sit and think about what we've just heard! The concept is thrilling, because this music that reaches your heart, soul, and mind in a much different way than the more beautiful lushness of Gordy's Tchaikovsky-like sound! If you haven't listened recently to "Close To You," and Nelson's carefully, controlled charts, combined with Frank's "perfectly synchronized interpretations," you're missing out on some glorious interplay between singer and accompaniment! Eleanor Slatkin and the Boys give you a totally, all-encompassing musical experience! Just listen, and be thrilled!
