What a great idea!
Here are some others I'd love to see on the list for future shows: Jerry Lewis Bono Robert DeNiro Keely Smith

Great News! Seems like another quality Sinatra program.

Yee-ha!!!
Another I'd like to see is Fans for Fans... Where a qualified Sinatraphile does the show. An initial nominee would be Bob, Sinatrafan, or bvo.

Mark: If I get to program a show let me know what you want to hear....so I can narrow down my playlist.

Have the plans for this feature changed? It's no longer listed in the programming notes at Siriusly Sinatra online.

I am available and, as luck might have it, have experience in radio. Just give a jingle.
By the way, I did host a sports talk show where we invited an average listener every week to be our guest fan of the week. We'd put the focus on him or her and talk about what they wanted to talk about. We had hundreds of letters a week from fans who wanted to guest host. It was fun.

It hasn't changed; the order of presenters is being shuffled around. As soon as we've finished with that it will be back.

I was only thinking the other day that you have the perfect face for radio, Richard. I'd like to hear Chuck Granata with his favourites.

Birthing pains
It looks like Linda is faced with the same sort of startup problems which plagued Nancy. She followed up "Kisses And Tears" by the announcement that it was the title song from In The Wee Small Hours. (Still a nice tune to hear!

Very nice anecdotes about her work with Nelson Riddle, and a nod to Frank Sinatra:

Double the fun. I have my grandmother watching the Vegas DVD in the family room and now I'm listening to this show.
You're Gettin' To Be A Habit With Me is playing now... ![]() Thanks for the bump, Bob. |

I think Nancy's a much better radio host... just heard Linda introduce Pennies from Heaven and she laughed while recounting more of a sad time... not sure she 'gets' it.

Well, so far Linda is a gal after my own heart: All Capitol songs by Nelson (except one, which sounds like it was a mistake): In The Wee Small Hours, Songs For Swingin' Lovers, and Only The Lonely.
I think it will be VERY interesting to hear what songs are the favorites of the various guest hosts in future programs. |

I'm sorry I missed this thread (I've been absent these last few weeks), as I would've loved to have heard Linda's choices.
This is a great concept and I look forward to future shows. |

Linda played 15 songs, all but one from three Capitol albums of 1955-58:
Anything Goes / What's New? / Kisses And Tears / I Get Along Without You Very Well / Can't We Be Friends? / When Your Lover Has Gone / It Never Entered My Mind / You're Getting To Be A Habit With Me / Angel Eyes / Pennies From Heaven / How About You? / Guess I'll Hang My Tears Out To Dry / One For My Baby / I've Got You Under My Skin / GoodbyeThe Columbia "Kisses And Tears" was probably a mistake. According to Linda's comments, it should have been "In The Wee Small Hours Of The Morning." |
