This One is for Chad

....and all our Louisiana-er's? Louisiana-un's?

Two tourists were driving through Louisiana.

As they were approaching Natchitoches, they started arguing about the pronunciation of the town. They argued back and forth until they stopped for lunch.

As they stood at the counter, one tourist asked the employee, "Before we order, could you please settle an argument for us? Would you please pronounce where we are...very slowly?"

The blonde girl leaned over the counter and said, "Burrrrrrrr, gerrrrrrr, Kiiiiing."

Hi Trish!

I have another one.

An evacuee was in Boston being interviewed by a local affiliate. The reporter was talking with the lady and wearing her most sympathetic looking expression.

"Can you tell us..." the reporter asked in her most compassionate voice, "what do you think the impact will be on the New Orleans community after such a great loss of all its churches?"

"Well!" the evacuee answered matter of factly, "I don't know about all those other people, but we always buy our chicken at Popeyes."

The expression on the reporter's face...priceless.

And it is pronounced "Nackitoush" in case anyone was curious.

Natchitoches

That is also the town where they filmed "Steel Magnolias." When I was a little boy and we would drive to my grandparent's home, we would go through Natchitoches and drive along the bayou with all of the Christmas lights set up in the water. It is a beautiful town.
