At this moment, listen to...

To all the Lee Hazlewood-fans; may I recommand you the album "The MGM-recordings", Ace records 2002.
And when you get it, play right away "These Boots Are Made For Walking", sung by the man himself. It's fantastic!
Also go for the album "Cowboy In Sweden", if you can find it.
Good stuff!

Nancy, I believe these pictures are from the "Woman" album. Great songs on that album and one of my favorites.

My deepest sympathy to you and Lee's family. He will be deeply missed.

Thank you

I opened the LA Times and there it was....the photo of Lee Hazlewood on the Obit page. Was very saddened.

Thank you, Nancy for sharing those wonderful and memorable photos. Losing a dear, precious friend can never have words to express the loss... Lee Hazelwood will always be remembered.

Brad Chambers did a few tributes today for Lee Hazlewood on his martiniinthemorning.com show and played "These Boots were made For Walking."

Thanks again for sharing your memories with your dear friend.

Thank you so much Jeane, Terri, Rick, Chris, Bob and Mike.

You are all very kind and your posts make me feel better. I'd like to mention that some of Barton's family members have viewed this thread and are very grateful to everyone who posted here.

Nancy I'm sorry that I haven't been able to add my sincere condolences to you and Lee's family before this time. I have just moved house and just managed to go on the Forum to hear of your very sad news. Wish I could give you a 'real' hug. Love you lots. Please let Lee's family know that I am thinking of them too.

Lee was mentioned in EW today

Today, I received the latest issue of Enterttainment Weekly, and yes, Lee was lited in the "Monitor" section under "Legacy", with a quote from Nancy.

I just wish I could do more to remember Lee.

Maybe somehow I will.

Just a newbie here, but have to post about Lee

I am just a newbie here, no Hollywood type just a housewife from Texas. I did have the honor of knowing Lee and Jeane for a couple of years while they were staying here. Lee was good friends with the pharmacist I worked for and Lee and Jeane would pop in a lot to visit. I always looked forward to their visits. Lee was such a hoot. Nancy, he talked about you often and I know you will miss him more than most. He is rockin' with the stars now. RIP Lee, you are missed.

Because of a heavy workload I haven't been on the internet except for my family site in the past couple of weeks, and I feel like I've just been broadsided. I was searching the date Aug 4 in imdb.com, and saw Lee's name. I took a double take, and headed over here.

I can't say anything which hasn't been expressed more beautifully in this thread before me, but Nancy, my heart goes out to you. He was such a part of your life, I cannot imagine the pain you must be feeling. I extend my deepest condolences to you and to his family.

Thank you for sharing the pictures. No doubt you posted through your tears. They are priceless.

Your friends are there with you Nancy.

The courage you have shown publicly over the past week (can it only be a week ) has inspired each and every one of us, who have been here.

And through the tears today, you'll do just perfectly by Mr Hazlewood.

I'm sure Lee is as proud of you as we all are.

I have had the songs from "Nancy and Lee" going through my head all week. What great work you two did together!

Lee

Sorry to hear about Lee.
I know you loved him with all your heart.

Seeing the photographs of you working with him was just wonderful.
Sometimes we have to thank the camera for capturing all those wonderful fleeting moments like these.

Thanks for post the pictures. Remember he is with us always.

Love Ya,

Nancy,

God gave us memories so that we may have roses in December.

I'm sorry for your loss and your pain. I know August is a difficult month for you to begin with. Keep your memories close and they will bring you great comfort and allow you to always feel the love.

Photo of Lee and Nancy singing on Ed Sullivan

Nancy the song you and Lee were singing was "You've Lost that Lovin Feeling." After that you got up and sang solo "100 Years." As you can see I was a true admirer of both of you and have all records. You lost a dear friend and the world lost a true poet. The music is the legacy.
