Yes, June, I have read this thread. And I lost a couple of sentences just now and I cant remember them, so what remains are the paragraphs below.

I have just spent the day pouring through old family photos so that I might scan them and keep them forever. But I thought then how useless. None of us will be around forever and I know they'll eventually get lost in the shuffle. All it takes is one earthquake and in fact photos seem to just disappear in time. And I just feel worse for having spent so much time on memories that have made me practically sick, because of longing. I thought I should just toss everything out but I can't. I lost a sister November 11th, barely a month ago. But sharing something like this with others is something I just don't want to do, because for me, unlike you, I don't believe the solace of others would be helpful, and I just don't want it. There are a few like me, I guess. And so I am posting my feelings only because I don't want others to think that I don't have any towards you and our faithful forum members. I do.

On a brighter note, I also discovered some old, probably rare clippings and a few pictures of Frank and Thomas Jefferson because I consider them and all of our forum members family. And I was just about to scan the ones of Frank and put them on the forum, when I thought I'd catch up with posts before undertaking that task. And some of the newspaper clippings are so old they are in the beginning stages of disintegration. Not that they wouldn't be available in archives but what I have is something very personal. I was a very little girl when I first started 'saving Frank.'

So I was in this kind of 'mood' when I logged on and read your thread first. So this just added to my painful memories - my penance for not seeming to care about other members' problems here. lol. I have my own beliefs which do not include prayer and Heaven, per se. But I am very spiritual and I do indeed believe in meditation and transition to the 'other side' and much more, including reincarnation. These beliefs are real and they have helped, but only helped to sustain me, just as your beliefs and those of others sustain you.

I'm going to be sorrry that I've ever exposed myself to this extent but, June, your post just now and the entire thread which I read again, just cried out to me so that I could no longer be silent. And as so often when I write lengthy posts I lose them, I sort of hoped this one would somehow disappear.

June, you are very dear to me and I just always thought you somehow would know this without my having to find impossible words for the loss of your Mother, who you miss so terribly. Except that I am sorry, of course.

Your post exposed the true person that you are. It showed a person that has a tremendous amount of feelings for a person that you consider a friend. Never regret exposing your true feelings as you did to me and everyone who reads your post. It only shows everyone who reads your post the truly special person you are.

I am sorry to read about your sister's passing. Because you made me aware of your sister's passing, now I am able to include her in my daily prayers. My belief is, that prayer are heard by those who pass. And as long as I pray to them they will never be forgotten. They will live forever.....Thank you Joan. I cherish your words...Love, June
