Intelligent, quick-witted, incredibly talented and amazingly good at seeing and expressing women's needs and foibles, Nora Ephron was one of my heroes. Though I never met her, I'm quite devastated by the news that she is gone.

She was everything I wish I could be.

A terrible loss for everyone! It's ironic that I would hear about Nora's passing, just as I finished reading the last page of a bio about another fabulous "femme" talent, Edna Ferber!

Just too damn young, at 71!
