Seaford Long Island: March 18th 2005: Believed to be Last know living Medal of Honor winner in the NYC and Long Island Area according to the Medal of Honor Society of Charleston SC from the Vietnam War..out of the 245 Americans awarded the medal....only 62 are alive......including 2 living in New Jersey.Mr Lang passed away at age 57 ..he died of cancer. Lang was awarded the medal on March 2nd, 1971 by then President Richard Nixon....Lang's injuries left him a paraplegic....
