Veteran Award

Hi Nancy: I wanted to share this with you and everyone on the forum. I was selected to receive the Town of Oyster Bays's Veteran Volunteer Award for 2008. I know for sure there are so many not only here on Long Island in the Town of Oyster Bay but across our nation who have given of themselves in the helping of Vietnam Veterans and others. As you said a few weeks ago that we never stop giving. The Town of Oyster Bay, founded in 1653 truly is remarkable for all they do for the residents. We have great parks, swimming pools and a new skating rink and the town board has always gone above and beyond under Supervior Johh Venditto who is also a Vietnam era Veteran to hold all of us in a special regard all veterans who haved served our nation. So again, thank you Nancy for motivating myself and others do continue the mission of helping those who served and those coming home and visiting the men and women at Walter Reed and Bethseda. This event will be Saturday nite July 19th. I will be thinking of you and all the great people on this forum. Semper Fidelis, Paul

Paul, I just noticed you live in Bethpage, what a small world, cause my Mother lived in Bethpage, Long Island for 35 years, right on Sherwood Drive. I know exactly where 10th street is. That is such a nice area.
