Random thoughts at 1 am.

Ok, I'm new here so hope I don't step on anyone's toes but this is supposed to be the place to chat in the wee small hours of the morning (when the whole wide world is fast asleep), right??

So here is my thought for the evening.

"Lonesome Cities" from the A Man Alone album would have been absolutely awesome in concert following "One For My Baby"....it's almost like "LC" is a continuation of that most epic of Sinatra saloon songs...and yet he never performed it live that I know of.

Your thoughts don't have to be FS-related...... it's called Random Thoughts for a reason ya know.....

Next?

I have that problem also, therefore, I go on line to friends in the Sinatra Family to chat.

When insomnia strikes I tend to get up and try to devise the perfect murder in true James Moriarty fashion.

Of the one hundred and fifty six potential homicides i've come up with so far only three have been completely airtight though at least twenty five would stump everyone but Miss Marple.

That or I make myself some cocoa.

Well here it is a little past 1 am, and I discovered this wonderful video of Frank doing "Something"...it says from 1981...I was too young to notice then, but I am sure my parents were glued to their tv set.

The irony of it - when you finally get the elements of the day put aside enough to have random thoughts, it probably is 1 AM. And considering the next day's agenda, those random reflections are vented at the expense of needed sleep. I do it all the time.

we all do, Chadlington, then of course, he opens his mouth and some revision of our initial impression is hastily required.

Martington...(you started it)

"we all do, Chadlington, then of course, he opens his mouth and some revision of our initial impression is hastily required."

we shouldn't go there! We will just leave it at "we love him, despite himself." Do you think he will see any of this? I mean he's probably out at one of those Tea Party things and they stay up real late and do G-d knows what! By the time he sobers up from the Tea, this thread will be way down the list under "New Posts" and he may never even see it. At least I hope so!

Don't worry, Rick never sees anything, he's too busy with his laundry.

I wake up most mornings @2:30. I learned to mediate from Yoga class. That is what I do, and manage to go back to sleep. Have a great day everyone.

Wonderful 'Noise'

Had a stomach ache this morning. Digestion 101 -- don't eat a bag of potato chips at 11:40 PM! Just couldn't sleep. Went downstairs (Eunice is at her Sister's for the weekend) and played "Sinatra At The Sands" at a very high volume!

If we were living in an apartment, by the time Frank & Mr. Basie's Aggregation finished "You Make Me Feel So Young," our neighbors' complaints would have the police banging on the door!

I live in a house also, but my computer/media room is right behind the garage and it's the closest part of my house to my neighbor. A while back he commented on being able to hear loud music at night from my house. I asked him what he heard? He said "Sounded like Frank Sinatra!" so then I knew maybe I should start keeping the volume down a bit after 10 pm....lol.
