    Squirrels and Frank Sinatra-For Marty

Extensive research has been done on the above topic, resulting in the creation of this newest Chez Frank thread..."Squirrels and Frank Sinatra." The creation of this thread was inspired by the (somewhat disturbing and even weird) dedication (I'd personally call it an obsession-but you did not hear that from me because I ain't one to gossip) to squirrels which has been exhibited by our friend here in the Forums...Marty.

Marty has long asked for a sub-forum here dedicated to squirrels and now we finally have one...this one!

Being that this is Chez Frank, I felt that this sub-forum needed to be opened with information related to Frank Sinatra and the topic of squirrels. I did extensive research and here are the results:

    "From the TeenNews.com Website...

    ABOUT THE CAST: John
Favorite Movies: North by Northwest, Duck Soup

    Favorite Subject: History

    Hobbies: Film, baseball, writing, traveling

Favorite thing about Teen Kids News: “The bonding with everyone and being part of a team. It’s a resource and it’s helping kids get information.”

Personal: John lives in California with his parents and younger brother. He recently moved, but travels to New York to film Teen Kids News.

Fun Facts: John's favorite music is Frank Sinatra. He also loves Shakespeare and black and white films even though he’s only sixteen!

Words of Wisdom: “Just be yourself, because you can’t lose that way. If you try too hard, you lose what makes you unique.”

Pets: John has two poodles, two cats, a cocker spaniel, golden retriever, and a chinchilla. (and they all live at this house!) He also likes to feed squirrels.

School: John attends Beverly Hills High"

So there you have it...the Frank Sinatra Squirrel Connection (I knew there had to be one!).

So now, all you squirrel lovers please post all of that squirrel news...and Marty, please post a pic here of that adorable squirrel from Phil's recent trip. The little guy has a home now here in Chez Frank!

    Love you guys! chad

    Like my furry friends

I am out of my tree with delight, thank you counsellor for the thread (which of course needed to be created...after all the little devils are becoming somewhat of a mascot feature around here) You can be sure Chad, this section will be treated with utmost reverence by myself and I'll try to keep it stocked up for the winter months with plenty of squirrel related delicacies.

    Well Mr. Marty...

I was certain that you were snoozing on the other side of the pond and would not have seen this until the a.m. my time, but I am glad you have seen and posted. I have to confess that I have a bird feeder which I secretly fill for...you guessed it, the squirrels.

Those guys are so smart and they find every possible way to get to the seeds in the feeder! They have also gotten to the point where they associate me with filling the feeder, so when I go outside, they are waiting. They are really very intelligent little creatures.

I think these little guys and gals will make an excellent mascot for the Chez Frank Forums. They are as universal as we are and come in all of the same colors and varieties as we do.

"I'll try to keep it stocked up for the winter months with plenty of squirrel related delicacies."

I hope you do. We have blond squirrels down here in Louisiana, as well as the red and grey ones. The first black squirrel I ever saw was when I was in New York walking through Central Park.

So to you Marty, and to everyone else...Squirrel Power, Sinatra Style! Let's see some pics and stories about the squirrels in your neighbourhood. Love, chad

Marty your not the only squirrel lover here

There is a golf course along the parkway here that I take to alot just to go across town. I do it because there are usually literally hundreds of squirrels running around threw the grounds. They are so beautiful.

One of my favorite things as a kid was to go to a friend of my parents' farm. They would frequently cut word and usually about once a year would end up with a nest of babys to help raise. They were always soo cute.

Brings to mind that great Al Pacino film, Dog Day Afternoon.

    Why?

Well, if you remember, when he finds Carol Kane hiding under a desk, he says...

    "What's this? A squirrel?"

Now, you have a squirrel/Pacino connection, too!

    Slappy the Squirrel

Frank Sinatra was in The Manchurian Candidate
    With Angela Lansbury
Who was of course Jessica Fletcher in Murder She Wrote
One early episode cast member in Murder She Wrote was Sherri Stoner
Sherri Stoner played the gravel voiced Slappy The Squirrel.

links to Chez Frank and/or Nancy are sure to be there, that's the way squirrels work, further investigation though is required.

    Upon further investigation

along with Flying Fox Mulder of the FBI (Furry Buggers Investigators)

    Nancy Sinatra sang Bang Bang
    The theme to Kill Bill
Which starred a cycloptic Darryl Hannah
who played in the updated "My Favourite Martian"
Which was written by Sherri Stoner

    Chez Frank serves cocktails:-

How to Make a Pink Squirrel Cocktail

Crème de noyaux adds both the pink color and the almond flavoring to the creamy and delicious Pink Squirrel. Serves 1.

Put cracked ice into a shaker.

Add white creme de cacao and creme de noyaux, half and half.

    Shake 5 times.

Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

To make a green squirrel use creme de menthe

To make a Screwy Squirrel add Vodka & Orange

Remember NEVER drink and climb trees with your nuts unprotected.

Squirrels are some of my best friends!

I just love the little critters, especially when they stand up, holding their front paws against their furry bellies. Always have a huge bag of peanuts in my car, and whenever I go out, the "regulars" are always there to meet me. One little guy actually trusted me enough to take a peanut right from my hand.
