Hello Nancy,
Your Dad really deserved this day of celebration.
I wished we could have been there but also here in
Europe people were celebrating Francis Albert's birthday. I'm sure it was a ring-a-ding day in Vegas
and it makes me happy and proud to be a Sinatra Fan.
Ciao,
Sandro

Hi Nancy:

I consider Las Vegas my second home, so I was dissapointed that I could not be there on 12/12 to help honor the life of the greatest entertainer of all time.

I spent the day telling everyone I came in contact with that today would have been Franks 86th birthday, and what a wonderful man he was. I even asked the manager of Coco's Coffee Shop if they could play some Sinatra over the P.A. instead of the clasical music they were piping throughout the restaurant. You know what? They did. I enjoyed Fly Me To The Moon as I ate my breakfast.

It sounds like Frank Sinatra Day was terrific, and when I get to Vegas January 8 - 11 next month I will pay homage to the F.A.S. Slots and make a respectable attempt to win some money. If I do, it goes to your favorite charity in honor of Frank.

Regards,

Mickey Gale

Hello Nancy:

I was lucky enough to be at the Mirage Hotel celebration in Las Vegas yesterday to honor your wonderful father (I was the one who sang out "Love You Nancy; Love You Frank Jr.")

Later, I raised my champagne glass toward Heaven and said a birthday toast to your dear dad Frank. It was a special day that I will never forget.

God Bless You All...Inez

Nancy thank you for telling us about Frankie's show and the wonderful tributes in Vegas for your dad. Frank certainly deserves to be remembered and his birthday celebrated. I bet those slot machines are great...your dad would have loved it! (he was there in spirit...God bless him) Sounds like you had a wonderful time. Please let us know how it went with AJ's show in Hoboken. Thanks Nancy. :)

Hi, Nancy

Glad to hear the news about Las Vegas. Your Dad deserves it. It seems that you had a great time there!
I was there in thoughts. I was happy to know that Tony Curtis was there. He is one of my favourites actors. Hope all is well with him. God bless you, Nancy.

Dear Nancy,

I am sure he WAS there with You, Frankie, and Amanda, just as I am sure that he was with A.J. in Hoboken--And that he enjoyed both Birthday Tributes from one of the best Seats in The House!

Frank Sinatra Day Las Vegas

Wednesday, December 12th has been declared
Frank Sinatra Day in Las Vegas. The celebration
will include a Frank, Jr. concert on the 11th and
the first "pull" of the new FS slot machine on the
12th. Just a little "down home, small town fun" in
the name of one of the entertainers who helped
put Las Vegas on the map.

The tickets for the show were gone by last Friday.
We are looking forward to a wonderful couple of days.

Hi Rick, Jeane, Rene, Ed, everybody.

When my friend in NYC e-mailed me this link in August, I put it on the Forum, and it functioned for about a week. Then, when you clicked the link, it linked to some "get your own business on-line website" promotion. I was embarrassed and posted that the link at that point no longer functioned. At the time, I had transcribed the words and put them up in a posting. Being a bit of a dweeb sometimes, I deleted it later, as I try to eliminate my "obsolete" posts to make room for other people's postings. I've transcribed them again:

I dreamed I had an interview with God.

"So you would like to interview me?" God asked.
"If you have the time," I said. God smiled.
"My time is eternity. What questions do you have in mind for me?"
"What surprises you most about humankind?"

God answered:

"That they get bored with childhood, they rush to grow up, and long to be children again...That they lose their health to make money, and then lose their money to restore their health...
That by thinking anxiously about the future they forget the present,
such that they live neither in the present nor the future...
That they live as if they will never die and die as though they had never lived..."

God's hand took mine, and we were silent for awhile.
And then I asked:

"As a parent, what are some of life's lessons you want your children to learn?"

"To learn that they cannot make anyone love them, all they can do is let themselves be loved...And that it is not
good to compare themselves to others...To learn to forgive by practicing forgiveness...To learn that it only takes a few seconds to open profound wounds in those they love, and that it can take many years to heal them...To learn that a rich person is not one who has the most but one who needs the least...To learn that there are people who love them dearly but simply do not yet know how to
express or show their feelings...To learn that two people can look at the same thing and see it differently...To learn that it is not enough that they forgive each other, but that they must also forgive themselves..."

"Thank you for your time," I said humbly; "Is there anything else that you would like your children to know?"

God smiled and said:

"Just know that I am here...Always"

Also, if this original masterpiece should become unavailable again after a time, I have provided a slightly altered rendition on my site - where the background is my homedrawn cartoon of the hills of San Francisco at night, with the original music in the background, and I speak the words (makes it faster and quicker loading). It goes in a loop continuously until you close the window. In the first loop, the audio pauses about five seconds in the middle before resuming, then is continuous on the subsequent loops.

One thing - you should page down about an inch as the ad banner at the top pushes an inch of it down off the page.

johnofphilly says:

Oh my God! I didn't mean to drag you through my whole animated site, only the interview with God rendition. By the way, each loop ends with something I added: "and then the dream ended and I awoke".

The link I put in the above message was meant to be underlined entirely, but instead it goes to the main site - at the bottom of the main site page, I put a "Click here" link to the interview with God.

Invite for Nancy.......

Nancy, I don't know if you are in NYC on 12/12 nor do I know how to reach your office. I'm Senior Vice President of Communications at the American Stock Exchange, and we'd be honored to have you (and your brother and sister) as our guest to ring the opening bell for trading. These events are usually well covered by media and I know our floor members and brokers would be ecstatic to have you join us on your dad's birthday. Please have your reps e-mail me at Robert.Rendine@amex.com if you are in town and have any interest.

Best.

Bob Rendine
