Come Fly Away, which opened in New York March 25, 2010 to enthusiastic reviews and continues to thrill existing Sinatra fans and create new ones in equal measure, follows four couples as they fall in and out of love during one song and dance filled evening at a crowded nightclub. The 27-city nationwide touring production, produced by Nederlander Presentations, Inc. under a special arrangement with the Frank Sinatra Family and Frank Sinatra Enterprises, includes six dancers straight from the original Broadway and Las Vegas casts of Sinatra Dance With Me (Matthew Stockwell Dibble, Cody Green, Laurie Kanyok, Marielys Molina, John Selya and Ron Todorowski), together four new starring principals (Ashley Blair Fitzgerald, Martin Harvey, Ramona Kelley and Christopher Vo).
To showcase the Sinatra™ hat collection, Frank Sinatra Enterprises will launch www.sinatrahats.com in early August. The website will feature updated information about the collection, photographs showing each hat and a list of authorized retailers. Select styles will be available for purchase directly through the website.
The timelessly stylish wool felt Sinatra™ hats that the dancers will wear include four of the most popular styles in the collection with a variety of fashion trims—two fedoras with 2 inch brims (FS1, in black or charcoal, and FS5 in black), a diamond shape with a 1 ˝ inch brim (FS4, in black or charcoal), and a Porkpie with a striped ribbon (FS3 in black or grey). Dorfman Pacific is acknowledged as their provider in the program, and at each performance, a concession will be selling four of the hats featured in the show will be available for purchase—the fedora FS1 (black, charcoal) and the porkpie FS3 (black, grey).
Dorfman Pacific began to market the exciting new Sinatra™ collection of structured headwear under a 2010 agreement with Frank Sinatra Enterprises. The collection, which will shortly expand to include several spring/summer weight styles for 2012 and a more extensive selection of fall headwear, showcases various elegantly realized fedora styles that are representational of, and inspired by the styles worn by Sinatra. All feature traditional haberdashery with details such as silk linings, grosgrain ribbon trim, classic hatpins, and each one have his favorite color orange on its interior as a tribute to him.
“‘The Chairman of the Board’ was always perfectly dressed for the occasion, always the epitome of elegance,” said Highsmith, “and he was rarely if ever without a perfectly selected hat. The Sinatra™ hat collection makes it possible for everyone who aspires to the same impeccable style to achieve their wish.” Retails for this particular collection range from about $60-$75, each and every style impeccably manufactured with top of the line materials.
“We're pleased to launch the Sinatra Hats website to showcase the stylish collection we’ve developed with Dorfman Pacific,” said Kris Ahrend, General Manager of Frank Sinatra Enterprises. "Each hat in the collection embodies Frank's timeless style, particularly, the fedoras, which were his trademark.”
