  1. The old homestead still serves a purpose. Thanks, Dad.

  2. I just flew home from a great visit to D.C. and visits to several of the Smithsonian museums. I do love Maryland. It is quite beautiful.

  4. What color is it?

  5. Well it looked a bit purple to me, but I think it was supposed to be blue. I need to brush up on how to post pics here. I obviously once knew how to do it.

  10. I was looking for a prayer thread, but it is hard to read from the phone. So please excuse that I do it here. I am just thinking tonight about our friends in Florida and Georgia. It is so tough to go thru what just happened to them. Life changing tough and my prayers are with them.

  11. It's been a long time since this joint was open and I can't think of a better time to open it given the mess our country is in. I think we could all use a drink. Who's going to tend bar? I miss our sidecars.

  12. Soupe champenoise : lemon, cremant, cane sugar...

Just enjoying a nice strawberry gin and slimline lemonade, cheers all

We really could do with a cocktail glass smiley, or two clinking together.

    It's nearly 5AM...

...and I'm wide awake for some strange reason. Eunice is down the street watching Dana's kids, while Dana & Michael are in Boston (technically,Everett) celebrating Mike's birthday at the Encore Boston Harbor! I've poured a glass of "Gentleman Jack," and put on "She Shot Me Down." As I head towards 77 (8-26), THIS is the album that's truly become part of my DNA! "Good Thing Going," "Thanks For The Memory," "A Long Night," "Monday Morning QB," "The Gal That Got Away/It Never Entered My Mind," et al -- I could listen to this album "until the cows come home (do they use this expression these days?)" The birds are chirping outside, and I swear they're singing "I Loved Her!" What an amazing album! Frank's singing is nothing short of remarkable, and Gordy, Nelson, & Costa's charts are spot on! Everything about this album is Spot On!
