REPRISE RARITIES VOLUME 1 (FSE & UMe) 2020

Frank Sinatra’s ‘Reprise Rarities Volume 1’ Collection Makes Digital Debut

The release marks the December 12 birthday of the master song interpreter
and the 60th anniversary of his formation of Reprise Records.

Frank Sinatra Enterprises and UMe have today (11) digitally released Frank Sinatra: Reprise Rarities Volume 1. The album collection is available now on all digital streaming platforms.

The release of the retrospective marks the upcoming birthday of the master song interpreter and “Chairman of the Board,” who was born 105 years ago, on December 12, 1915. It also celebrates the 60th anniversary of his formation of his own record company, Reprise Records.

Listen to Frank Sinatra: Reprise Rarities Volume 1 on Apple Music and Spotify.

Reprise Rarities Volume 1 features 13 tracks from his own years on the label, many of which are making their debut appearance digitally. Sinatra’s role as a pioneer of the artist-led company represented a highly innovative and adventurous business model in 1960. He was a pacesetter in the concept, which became much more commonplace in later years, of artists having greater control over the creation and marketing of their music.

The Reprise Records roster over its 60-year span has included not only many of Sinatra’s own most memorable recordings, but releases by Dean Martin, Sammy Davis, Jr., Bing Crosby, Nancy Sinatra, Jimi Hendrix, the Kinks, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Frank Zappa, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Eric Clapton, Tom Petty, Green Day, and Michael Bublé.

Plans call for more volumes of Frank Sinatra: Reprise Rarities to be released in 2021. Also this month, SiriusXM’s long-running and highly popular Siriusly Sinatra channel will be premiering and airing an exclusive Sinatra: Reprise Rarities special, at SiriusXM Ch. 71.

Question - the post says Frank was born on 15 DEC....wasn't he born on 12 DEC? Is that a typo?

The uDiscoverMusic.com article, from which the post was derived, also needs to be corrected.

    Oh my goodness!

This is the most wonderful news!!

I’ve just listened to the 1974 version of
Everything Happens To Me and it’s beautiful!

Thank you to Nancy and everyone in the Sinatra
    community who made this happen!

What a great way to celebrate Dec. 12.

  19. A wonderful idea, already purchased and obviously looking forward to future volumes. It's great for me to finally own some of these tunes that had only been on long out of print releases previously, though some naturally I do have. Getting new releases for the more obscure titles in the back catalogue is a welcome one, we all will never tire of The Voice. Perhaps after all the volumes have been issued we get a nice physical boxset

Thanks to all involved with this concept, its deeply appreciated!

A wonderful birthday gift to us from the birthday boy - 105 years- and he still lives in the songs that have touched so many and still today
Its great to see these true rarities - not found since the big box set . two fine gems from Sinatra and strings- sounding fresh as ever, the very limited release of the Bennett classic , I left My Heart in San Francisco with a unique Sinatra adaption. Its great to have the dance tunes- come waltz with me and everyones twisting back to back and I always loved the Reprise version of You brought a new kind love to me , when I first heard it as the opening to the Paul Newman movie of the same name . Its also nice to hear- the two songs recorded for the The Man and his music ( Grammy winning) album and the tender and superb - Younger than springtime from South Pacific- I wish he sung the whole catalog of Rodgers and Hammerstein - and to top it off the last two songs from the 1970's . Thanks to all for this great collection- happy holidays- Happy Birthday Mr Sinatra
